SpiralQR Docs

A practical guide to the core product: create static or dynamic QR codes, use the Spiral QR visual format, scan codes, analyze dynamic scans, export outputs, and manage what you create. Exact plan quantities live on the Pricing page so this documentation can focus on how the features work.

Product overview

SpiralQR combines familiar QR workflows with a distinctive Spiral QR presentation. The basic flow is: choose a code type, provide a destination, create the code, download or use it, then scan and manage it when needed.

Static

Stores the final destination directly in the QR data.

Dynamic

Uses a managed short link so the destination can be changed and tracked.

Spiral

Uses SpiralQR's visual format while keeping a normal QR fallback for compatibility.

Choose a QR type

Choose based on what must happen after printing or sharing. If the destination will never need to change, static is the simplest choice. If you may update the destination later or want tracking, use dynamic. Spiral describes the visual QR experience and works with the product's supported static or dynamic workflow.

Static QR

A static code contains the final URL or text directly. Because there is no managed redirect used to change its target later, the encoded content is fixed once the code is created.

Good for permanent destinations and simple sharing.
The destination is encoded directly in the generated code.
If the destination changes, create a new static code.

Dynamic QR

A dynamic code points to a managed SpiralQR short link. That intermediate link lets the destination be edited without replacing the printed code and enables scan tracking.

Useful when a destination may change after printing.
Designed for campaigns, menus, packaging, events, and other reusable placements.
The redirect keeps working when an analytics allowance is reached; additional scans simply stop being added to analytics until the next monthly tracking period.

Spiral QR

Spiral QR is the distinctive visual QR format used by SpiralQR. The creation interface supports mono and color modes, and the product also provides a normal QR fallback for compatibility. That lets you use the Spiral presentation while retaining a conventional option when needed.

Scanning

SpiralQR provides scanning entry points for both normal QR codes and Spiral QR codes. When scanning any QR code, use a clear view, adequate lighting, and enough contrast around the code.

Two scan paths

Use the normal QR scanner for conventional codes and the Spiral scanner for the SpiralQR format.

Create a code

  1. Sign in and open the code creation screen.
  2. Choose Static or Dynamic.
  3. Add an optional code name and enter the destination URL or text.
  4. Choose the Spiral style, such as mono or color.
  5. If your plan supports it, choose footer/branding controls.
  6. Create the Spiral and review the generated result before using it publicly.

Manage your codes

Created codes are available from the account's code-management area. You can search and filter codes, enable or disable them, delete them, and apply bulk enable/disable/delete actions to a selection. Pro organization adds folder and campaign labels that can also be searched and filtered.

For a dynamic code, open its detail page to change the destination while keeping the printed short link unchanged. A static destination is part of the encoded payload, so a changed destination needs a newly created static code.

Scan analytics

Dynamic QR workflows record tracked scan events up to the account's monthly analytics allowance. Scan counts are operational metrics and are not counts of unique people.

Starter basic analytics shows tracked scan counts and recent scan time, country/city, device, and browser information when available.
Pro advanced analytics adds a 30-day time chart plus aggregated country, city, device, browser, and referrer breakdowns.
SpiralQR analytics does not identify the individual person who scanned a code.

Exports & branding

Export and branding controls are plan-aware so the product interface matches what the Pricing page promises.

Free includes PNG export and requires the SpiralQR footer on Spiral outputs.
Starter adds SVG export and lets the SpiralQR footer be removed.
Pro adds direct PDF export, plus an optional custom text brand label for the Spiral footer.
Every generated SpiralQR also provides a normal QR fallback output.

Design & compatibility

The creator supports Spiral style choices such as mono and color. Keep sufficient contrast and avoid placing a code where glare, folds, low resolution, or physical damage makes detection difficult. Before a large print run, test the exact exported code from the intended viewing distance and on more than one device.

Preserve the full code and surrounding clear space.
Test after resizing and after placing the code into the final artwork.
Keep the normal QR fallback available when maximum conventional compatibility matters.

Best practices

Use static when the destination is permanent and dynamic when editability or tracking matters.
Use descriptive code, folder, and campaign names so assets remain easy to find.
Test every code before publishing or printing it.
Use destination pages that load well on mobile.
Review analytics as trends and operational signals, not as unique-person counts.
